E-commerce, global sourcing and online international trade are as secure as you can assume. To avoid fraud, a few critical steps need to be understood beforehand, especially so in case of international trade and import/export transactions.
When flavored with B2B, E-Commerce can really be a big boon for business worldwide. B2B stands for Business to Business. E-commerce in the current date mostly is of this kind. IOS i.e. Inter Organizational System transactions and electronic market transactions are included in B2B. Business to Business E-Commerce wraps a wide spectrum of application that facilitates the enterprise or business to sustain good electronic relationship with their distributors, suppliers, resellers and other counterparts.
-Safety Tips Global Sourcing and Import/Export in E-Commerce
The following points help you avoid frauds in ecommerce when online shopping or global sourcing.1. Know the import/export trader and product to the maximum. No matter what, antecedents matter much, especially as you can't see the seller. Put the power of internet to best use to discover the traders’ global sourcing or import/export history before engaging in international trade or import/export with him
2. Bulk import/export or just global sourcing, setup refund/withdrawal policies with great clarity. If you are buying retail online study the sellers warrantee/refund policy. This way, you know what can go wrong in an international trade
3. International e-commerce safety rests much on trading account information and passwords. Weaker passwords will get hacked and mindlessly disclosed information leaves in the lurch.
4. Import/export, international trade site and consumers must ensure whether the website uses SSL, a security technology and certified by a licensed agency like VeriSign or Thawte. Sites with SSL will start with "https" ('s' indicates security) instead of the usual “http” and an icon of a closed lock appears on the status bar.
5. If the offer is too good to believe, forget global sourcing or buy some retail thing there. True, e-commerce can afford cheap sales but too much of discount is an alarm sign
